Greetings from Rosenheim Historical Society 2021

This newsletter is to keep you updated on ways people can continue to participate, preserve and showcase St. Norbert's/Rosenheim Church.

You may have been born here and have left the old neighborhood. You may still have family living here or interned in the cemetery.

If it's been a while, here are the current Rosenheim happenings.
As everywhere, Covid 19 stopped all functions here. However, we are continuing to maintain and restore the beautification of the church, grounds and cemetery. By the way, it is owned by the Archdiocese of Edmonton, not the Society.

On our radar this year, is repairs to the steeple. I guess after 99 years, it is
to be expected.

Our big ticket item is the planning of the 100th anniversary celebration for the first weekend in June of 2022.
If Covid 19 and the weather co-operate, we hope this will be a major gathering on the Sunday . (Rosenheim picnic) A bringing together of all the old and new friends of the neighborhood. More on this later.

Another project in the planning stages is to move the Rosenheim School to the grounds. We will place it west of the cemetery. We feel this piece of local history should be here with its obvious ties to the church and area. We don't want to lose it to time, neglect or destruction.

As usual, our facilities are open for bookings. Check out the other pages of our website.

We accept all help and support.
THANK YOU all past, present and future supporters.
Danke Schon
