Rosenheim School, a work in progress.

Rosenheim School's Grand Opening on August 13, 2026 was well attended.
The one room school house grand opening program started at 1:00 pm.
Margaret Liethieser and Warren Schug performed the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Many gathered to hear the narrative of the history of Rosenheim School. Marion Kelsch coordinated three presentations for the Grand Opening. The names of pioneer families whose children attended Rosenheim School were all mentioned. Guest speakers were Judy Woodlock and Margaret Liethieser who told the compelling history of the school's early days. Bob Rehman spoke on how the Restoration Project went. Steve Ganser spoke about the generosity of people who gave donations to fund the project.
The first builder was Felix Schneider. On November, 1908, Felix obtained a permit for the School Division, No. 1892. One year later, in 1909, the one room school house was constructed.
Rosenheim School closed in 1947. The building was used as a granary in the 1950s to 2000.
Peter Friesen visited the school in 2007.
The quest to restore Rosenheim School was promoted by Warren Schug in 2023.
On September 16, 2024, Rosenheim School was relocated to the grounds of St. Norbert Church Rosenheim by McConnell Building Movers. Restoration of the School was lead by Bob Rehman, Project Manager.
Come and see Rosenheim School's amazing restoration from a granary!
Thank you to everyone who helped. A special thank you to our leaders on the project.
A tribute to all who donated to make this project possible.
